Sometimes packing a diaper bag can be a bit overwhelming. Especially for us new moms! You picture yourself stranded somewhere with you new baby without any food or diapers. This "new mom" worry syndrome tends to make us over pack out diaper bags.Well, rest assured ... here are some great tips for packing you diaper bag!
Packing A Diaper Bag List
1. Diapers - pack 1 for every hour that you will be away from home. Do remember, there are grocery stores just about everywhere. So, running out is not a huge deal just an inconvenience. 2. A pack of travel diaper wipes. This will do the job for a full day away. 3. Antibacterial wipes for your hands. Especially in the wintertime with colds and the flu are at its peak. 4. Diaper cream - preferable the non staining kind. 5. A burp cloth. 6. An extra outfit for the baby - and with spit up you may want to pack an extra shirt for yourself! 7. An extra pair of socks - one always seems to disappear off of the foot. 8. Baby bottle and pre measured formula - if formula feeding. 9. 1 toy 10. Jarred baby food or snack if baby is starting to eat. 11. A bib. 12. 2 extra pacifiers kept in a plastic baggy. You don't want to be caught without an extra. 13. Changing pad - these usually come with
diaper bags.
14. Large plastic bags to put a messy diaper in. 15. Baby hat 16. Sunscreen for yourself and the baby. ( check with your pediatrician if your baby is under 6 months of age ) 17. Tylenol or some pain reliever just in case. 18. Don't forget about yourself. A Snack, your wallet, extra set of car keys. Phone number of the pediatrician. I think with these key things you are ready and set for a full day of baby adventures!
